Job Description Our client is a non-profit organization located in Katy, TX. The Brand Coordinator is responsible for the health and well-being of the brand. This role is responsible for coordinating the communication functions for the brand, activities and projects of The Organization’s Place Committee. As well as being in charge of making the best use of the community‘s brand and place resources and serve as the primary point of contact for all team building and fundraising associated with the Brand. The candidate will work closely with peers in the public and private sector to promote and brand vision, through a variety of activities including communications, advertising, product development, signage, events and more. In addition to the above functions, the candidate will coordinate media relations for the Place-Brand Committee. The right candidate will have passion for and knowledge of the community, have communication know-how, be political savvy, have a strong understanding of the benefits and power of the Brand, and enhancing quality of place are a must. This position is Part-Time, 20 to 29 hours per week.

  • Oversee the integrity, launch, growth and development of the brand.
  • Develop and lead a private/public sector team charged with Place - Brand implementation and promotion.
  • Make best and highest use of community resources on behalf of the Brand and Katy, Texas.
  • Plan, direct and implement public information/education, media and marketing programs for Katy and the brand affiliates and partners.

  • Fundraise on behalf of the Brand, Place Committee and related activities.
  • Build grassroots support for the Brand and its use.
  • Develop and implement the Brand Navigator strategies and tactics for brand implementation and promotion.
  • Design presentation materials for educating about the Brand.
  • Create internal and external communications for the Brand.
  • Target, cultivate and integrate the Brand with specific community goals.
  • Develop branded activities and events.
  • Monitor and evaluate the Brand‘s performance and provide regular updates to the Brand Navigators.
  • Achieve pre-determined Brand marketing objectives.
  • Create and implement a media plan for the Katy, Brand and affiliated Brands.
  • Coordinate public and private sector communications plans to achieve traction for the Brand.

Working Conditions:
  • Office environment with the majority of work performed on a personal computer in a seated position.
  • Must be willing to submit a background check and possibly a drug screen.
  • Must be available to workfull time – at least 30 hours per week.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation.
  • Some overtime may be required as special projects arise.

Physical Demands:
•Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds in order to lift supplies and materials from time to time
•Must to be to type a minimum of 45 wpm (words per minute).

Education Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or public relations or related field
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in working for companies/non-profits in marketing and/or public relations
  • Ability to work a part-time schedule of 20 to 29 hours per week on a long term basis
